6 months

We babysat for my sister-in-law one day and my cute niece and nephew helped me dress Abby up for her backyard photo-shoot. They were good helpers to keep her smiling. My cousin Chelsea made the skirt!

So, do you ever get that guilty feeling when you're blogging, like you don't want to brag or anything... but you really want to say something like... "Check out this baby! Isn't she a little doll? Don't you want to just squeeze her?! And yep, her skin is as soft and cuddly as it looks!" But you don't want to give the wrong impression, like that if you don't have a little doll baby like Abby then you're missing out... It's a weird feeling that I'm not sure exactly what to do about. We all have our "doll babies" in our own time, right?
A few details about Abby Jane at this stage-
  • she's about as smiley as a baby can be.
  • she LOVES her johnny jump-up.
  • she sleeps in her car seat for naps and her crib at night. it's actually kinda convenient, but it is the only way she'll take a nap.
  • she sleeps from 'bout 8-4:30 and eats and then wakes for the morning 'bout 8.
  • she has a favorite toy and when she loses it it's a very sad time for her. lol. that lower lip pouts and she cries out.
  • she loves peek-a-boo. it's the no-fail smile-maker.
  • the days of multi-tasking while nursing are long gone. she gets distracted easily when she's supposed to be getting her milk.
We feel undoubtedly blessed for her little spirit in our life!
