Remembering our soldiers

Last night we watched an awesome "60 minutes" tribute to our soldiers. (My family rarely misses an episode of the show and now we've gotten into watching it online). I enjoyed it so much that I thought I'd share the link- ://www.cbsnews.com/sections/60minutes/main3415.shtml

Hope everyone has a great memorial day! Thank you to all of our soldiers!!!

What a blessing!

On April 10th 2011, over 400 people gathered in our chapel, just for Abigail Jane. Ok, so the 2 other baby blessings and missionary homecoming may have had something to do with the large crowd, but it was nonetheless a very special occasion.
The reason I'm so behind on posting about this day is because I'm having a hard time finding the words to describe how special the actual blessing was. I'll write something and then delete it- over and over. Let's just say that the blessing could not have been sweeter. I'm so grateful to Josh for being able to know just what to say.

She seemed pleased with all the things she was blessed with.

So we had our family (I kinda forgot how big our family is! Thank goodness we had good weather and could eat outside!) over for dinner and we did "Thai coconut haystacks". They turned out pretty yummy! Seriously could not have been more happy about the warm sunshine that day. Ya know those days that you prepare and think a lot about, and then you're living it, and it's turning out just how you'd hoped? It was a really good day.

Some of my family eating in the backyard.
We invited Brena and Lamar (Josh's parents) but they didn't make it. They said something about being needed in Brazil..? Lame! Just kidding- we sure do miss them but we try not to dwell on it. We feel so lucky to have their nice home and yard to enjoy.

Cute cousins and little brothers.
Abby got lots of attention!

She was totally flirtin' it up for her guests.
We all feel so blessed!
