I have mixed feelings about Blogging. I thought I'd share my thoughts with you so you know where this little blog of mine is coming from...
I love how you can stay interconnected with friends and family and can share your life with pictures and stories. I can feel like I'm still a part of the "long distance" loved-one's lives.
I love how it's a journal/ scrapbook that actually gets looked at and used. And started. And finished... Most of the time :) In the back of your head, you know that people are counting on you to update and record your history! (At least I like to think someone likes to read my blog).
I love how it's fun and free, no matter how cute you make your blog.
I hate how blogging makes it so easy to compare and look back at your life and think... My life is lame! I have no cool vacations to show off, or amazing crafts I made... No hilarious, publisher-ready story of what my adorable kids did the other day... No noteworthy moments shared with all my coolest, prettiest friends ever. Everyone wants to show their best self, which is great- what should we show on our blog to the world? The moments we want to cherish! But still... Someday it will be fun for us all to be caught up with the Jones' family blog.
I also hate how it can take a good 30 minutes just to try to get your pictures in the exact spot you want them! I always think- "It'll just be a quick post," but that just never works out...
That's about it. As you can see, I'm still here. The pros outweigh the cons. I hope to post again soon!
